If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Cotati and the surrounding Sonoma County area — running or not, any make, any model, free same-day towing.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Cotati, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Cotati — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Cotati customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Cotati or the surrounding Sonoma County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in California involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Cotati, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all California environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Cotati is a small city in Sonoma County, California, located approximately 45 miles north of San Francisco along the 101 corridor between Rohnert Park and Petaluma. With a population of 7,584 as of the 2020 Census, it is the least populous incorporated community in Sonoma County. The city sits within both the San Francisco Bay Area and Wine Country, home to E & J Gallo Winery's Two Rock Vineyard, a 400-acre operation in the hills west of town.
The area has deep historical roots, with the Coast Miwok civilization thriving there since at least 2000 BC, building villages near major streams. In 1844, the Mexican government granted Rancho Cotate to Captain Juan Castaneda in payment for military service. After Castaneda failed to develop the land, it eventually passed to Dr. Thomas Stokes Page, who purchased it in 1849 for $1,600. When the railroad arrived in 1870, a town formed around Page's Station.
Cotati's distinctive hexagonal plaza and street grid were designed in the 1890s by Newton Smyth as an alternative to traditional layouts. Each surrounding street is named after one of Dr. Page's sons. The plaza is California Historical Landmark number 879, one of only two hexagonal town layouts in the United States, the other being Detroit, Michigan. The 1906 earthquake caused significant damage to local structures, including chimney failures at schools. Voters incorporated Cotati as a separate city on July 2, 1963, sparking rapid growth in the decades that followed.
