Corral is an unincorporated community located in southwestern Camas County, Idaho, situated along U.S. Route 20 west of Fairfield, the county seat. Despite its unincorporated status, Corral maintains its own post office with ZIP code 83322, serving the local community.
The settlement of Corral began around 1886, when Robert L. Hicks transferred property on Corral Creek to H.F. McCarter on November 30 of that year. McCarter relocated his family to the property and established a farm there. By 1891, a school had been built on the property, though it was eventually demolished to make way for two new school buildings that were constructed later.
The community experienced modest population changes over its history. In 1909, Corral had a population of 40 residents, which had declined to an estimated 20 by 1960.
