A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Christopher, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Christopher — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Christopher customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Christopher or the surrounding Franklin County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Illinois involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Christopher, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Illinois environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Christopher is a small city in Franklin County, Illinois, located twenty miles northeast of Carbondale. Founded in 1879 as a railroad stop, the city was named after Christopher Harrison, grandson of early settler Isham Harrison. A post office opened the following year, and the community progressed from village status in 1903 to becoming a city in 1910. Today, Christopher is home to 2,697 residents according to the 2020 census.
The city's history is closely tied to coal mining. The United Coal Mining Company No. 1 mine opened nearby in 1906, though tragedy struck when an explosion killed eight men on July 27, 1915. The operation was sold to the Old Ben Coal Corporation and renamed Old Ben Coal Mine No. 1 in 1916, eventually closing in 1929. A separate explosion at Old Ben Coal Corporation's Mine No. 11 on November 29, 1917, claimed seventeen lives.
Christopher also witnessed a dark chapter during World War I. On March 22, 1918, a mob of more than 300 people targeted five men accused of pro-German sympathies. The victims included grocer Theodore Kunger, attorney W. R. Jones, Henry Timbrock, Henry Wheeler, and Polish Catholic pastor Rev. John Kovalsky. All were brought to the city square, forced to kiss the American flag, and subjected to tarring and feathering or public humiliation as punishment for their suspected disloyalty.
Despite its challenging past, Christopher developed into a rural community that has produced notable figures including actor John Malkovich and radio personality Gene Rayburn.
