A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Carthage, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Carthage — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Carthage customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Carthage or the surrounding Hancock County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Illinois involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Carthage, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Illinois environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Carthage is a city in and the county seat of Hancock County, Illinois. With a population of 2,490 as of the 2020 census, this community sits near the center of the county along U.S. Route 136. The first European-American settlers arrived in the early decades of the 19th century, and by 1833, Carthage had been established as the county seat, replacing Montebello. The town was officially platted in 1837, likely named after Carthage, Tennessee rather than the ancient city.
Carthage holds significant historical importance in American religious history as the site where Joseph Smith, founder of the Latter Day Saint movement, and his brother Hyrum were killed by a mob on June 27, 1844, while imprisoned in the Carthage Jail. The jail has since been restored to its 1844 appearance and is now owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a historical visitor center. The city is also notable for having preserved all three jails it has ever used. Abraham Lincoln visited Carthage in 1858 while campaigning for the U.S. Senate, a moment commemorated by a stone on the Courthouse Square.
The Hancock County Courthouse, built in 1908, anchors the town square and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. Today, Carthage's economy centers on agriculture, particularly corn and soybeans, along with industrial hog farming. The Kibbe Hancock Heritage Museum celebrates local and regional history through exhibits and collections.
