If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Barryton and the surrounding Mecosta County area — running or not, any make, any model, free same-day towing.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Barryton, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Barryton — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Barryton customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Barryton or the surrounding Mecosta County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Michigan involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Barryton, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Michigan environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Barryton is a small village located in northeastern Mecosta County in Michigan's Fork Township, situated along M-66 highway. Established in 1894, the village sits approximately 21 miles east of Big Rapids, the county seat, and 30 miles northwest of Mount Pleasant. The village covers just over one square mile and is notable as the location where the West Branch and North Branch of the Chippewa River converge to form the main stem of the Chippewa River, part of the larger Saginaw River watershed.
The population has grown modestly in recent years, increasing from 355 residents in 2010 to 405 in 2020. In 2020, residents considered a significant change when a petition to dissolve the village gathered enough signatures to appear on the election ballot. Had the measure succeeded, Barryton would have become the first village in Michigan history to voluntarily disincorporate. Voters rejected the proposal, and the village continued operating.
Barryton supports an active community life despite its small size. The annual Lilac Festival, held the first full weekend of June, draws visitors with its car show, carnival rides, 5K race, flea market, and parade. The village is served by Barryton Elementary School, which is part of the Chippewa Hills School District. The original school building, constructed in 1935, was replaced with a new facility completed in 2020 and serves approximately 260 students from preschool through fourth grade.
