Arbon is an unincorporated community located in Power County, Idaho, situated approximately 25 miles northwest of Malad City. The settlement was first established in 1893 and takes its name from George Arbon, one of the area's pioneer settlers. The heart of early Arbon life centered around its first schoolhouse, a modest log cabin measuring 20 by 36 feet. Built on land generously donated by Lorenzo Bailey in Township 11 South, Range 33 East, this structure served multiple purposes for the developing community.
