If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Ada and the surrounding Hardin County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Ada, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Ada — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Ada customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Ada or the surrounding Hardin County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Ohio involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Ada, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Ohio environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Ada is a village in Hardin County, Ohio, located approximately 69 miles southwest of Toledo. With a 2020 population of 5,334, Ada has grown into the second largest incorporated community in Hardin County, a transformation largely shaped by its most prominent institution, Ohio Northern University.
The village's history begins with its platting in 1853 by S. M. Johnson when railroad service reached the area. Originally called Johnstown, the settlement took its present name when a post office was established in 1854, named after the postmaster's daughter, Ada. Following the 1817 Treaty of Fort Meigs, Shawnee Indians had held reservation land at nearby Hog Creek.
Ohio Northern University, founded in 1871 by Henry Solomon Lehr, became the driving force behind Ada's development. The institution, originally established as the Ohio Normal School, has anchored the community ever since. Ada's historical significance extends beyond its founding, as the village welcomed notable visitors including President William Howard Taft, who delivered the fall commencement address in 1910, remaining the only sitting president to visit Ada. Civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. visited in January 1968, three months before his assassination.
The village has maintained distinctive characteristics, earning recognition as a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation since 1981 and being noted for one of Ohio's shortest place names. Today, Ada's economy benefits from the Wilson Sporting Goods NFL football manufacturing facility, the only leather football manufacturing facility in the United States.
